2020-21 COVID-19 Safety Plan for Reopening

Hello SJVA Family, At this time, Riverside county schools remain closed as the COVID-19 county case rate (CR) is higher than 25 per 100,000 residents; however, at SJVA, we have proactively designed a reopening plan that would support a quality and equitable education for all students while also prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of our students, staff, families, and our community-at-large. Mrs. Wilkinson's 3rd Grade Class Wins Achieve3000 Read to Succeed Contest

Aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, Achieve 3000 is an international English and Spanish Language Arts application that gives students access to hundreds of articles advancing student reading comprehension and writing. Mrs. Wilkinson's class went up against numerous readers worldwide and came out on top. We are so proud of each of you!

Read to Succeed Winner

Cal Grant Awards

Cal Grant Awards are free money provided by the State of California to help pay for the cost of college. Students who meet academic, financial and eligibility requirements may qualify to receive a Cal Grant once they are in college. California Education Code section 69432.9 requires the school to notify all Juniors and their parent/guardian in writing that the pupil will be deemed a Cal Grant applicant unless the student has opted out prior to March 1, 2021.
