Welcome to the SJVA Staff Tutorials page. Here you will find basic guides to help you navigate the different software and IT procedures implemented here at SJVA. Please make sure to refer to this page for help with technical difficulties before submitting a ticket
Student Google Account Information
To find a student email address, please look at the students profile, and click the "Contact" tab at the top of the page. Students and parents can also view this on the parent/student portal.
 
To reset a students password look to the "Reset a user's password" section found here.
DirectPrint - Add a Printer

You may have access to any of the provided Printers using printer codes entered through the DirectPrint app.


  1. Open DirectPrint. You can hit the “Windows” key and search “Direct Print” or click on the Windows icon or search bar in your taskbar at the bottom of your screen.
    1. If you the app does not pop up in your search, please submit a ticket so IT can install it for you.
  2. Once opened, click the icon to input a code. You can either add individual printers or add a group at once. 
  3. If you want to quickly add all of your school’s codes (Elementary, MS, HS) then input the corresponding codes listed below. If you see that your specific printer wasn’t added, please go to step 4 and add the printer individually.
    1. Elementary: 4ffm
    2. Middle School: ebhu
    3. High School: rqtq
  4. All other codes can be found at this link to an excel sheet here. NOTE: If you do not see your code, please submit a ticket to receive your code.
  5. Please test print by hitting the “Windows” key, typing “printers” and hit enter, clicking your printer, and clicking “Print test page”.
  6. If there are issues please submit a ticket to IT and we will be happy to assist you.

Do a test print. Press the “Windows” key, type “Printer”, click on your specific printer, and click “Test a print page”.
    1. If weird characters appear, this is a driver issue and you should submit a ticket to IT.
 
Canva
SJVA has an enterprise level account with Canva. All Teachers are able to log in to Canva and gain access to all the tools Canva has to offer. Please refer to the following documentation to follow the quick couble of steps to get set up:

Field Trip Process
Teacher: Field trip attendance must be taken every time students enter the bus, and sent via email. Please click here for the process.
 
 
Event Request Cancellation Process

Events:

If an event date needs to be changed, please email [email protected] the event name, the event date, the event time and reason that the event will need to be canceled. The event will then be removed from the calendar. Once the email is sent, you will need to put a new event request through the processmaker system, to ensure it goes through the proper process, and all staff involved gets notified.


Field trips:

If a field trip needs to be adjusted, please reach out to Nalley at [email protected] as soon as possible. She will help you coordinate the change from there.
