Pathway Overview

Career Technical Education
San Jacinto Valley Academy currently offers Career Technical Education for Audio production under the Arts, Media, and Entertainment pathway AME pathways are sequential focus areas that allow students to advance their studies in a particular art form and gain pre-professional career and post-secondary preparatory experience at the high school level.

Course Sequence

Drama 1: Open to students in 10th-12th grade who have completed Intro to Audio Production successfully. This course is for those students that have determined they are serious about pursuing a career in audio industry or have identified a legitimate reason for taking a more advance course in 

Drama  2: Open to students in 11th-12th grade who have completed Intro to Audio Production and Audio Production 2 successfully. This course is for those students that have determined they are serious about pursuing a career in the audio industry and looking to complete credentials in the audio industry and prepare them for post-secondary education.

High School Credit
This course meets the College Preparatory Elective “G” requirement for the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU) system.

College and Career Preparedness
The Academy of Audio Production is working closely with colleges to articulate SJVA courses and provide college credits where possible and provide internships and entre-level opportunities.
