Independent Study (TK - 12th grade)

What is Independent Study?

Short-Term Independent Study (STIS) is designed for students who will be absent from school for a short period due to reasons such as illness, family emergencies, or travel. This program allows students to keep up with their academic work and receive attendance credit (when completed appropriately) while away from the classroom. This option is available for all grade levels and is intended for planned absences, not ongoing educational placements.
