Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is open. First lottery was held on April 10th. Second lottery (if needed) will be held in July 17th at 2pm (applications must be complete and submitted by July 10th to qualify for July lottery) and Third Lottery (if needed) will be held in August (date to be determined).

La segunda lotería (si es necesario) se llevará a cabo el 17 de julio a las 2 p.m. (las solicitudes deben completarse y enviarse antes del 10 de julio para calificar para la lotería de julio) y la tercera lotería (si es necesario) se llevará a cabo en agosto (fecha por determinar).
If the number of applicants during enrollment exceeds the number of openings, we fill all openings through a non-discriminatory, public, and random drawing. Parents will be notified of the time, date, and location of the random public lottery. Students not enrolled through the drawing will be placed on a waiting list. If space is available during the school year, students are admitted on a first come, first-serve basis.
As always, every effort is made to keep families together, so priority will be given to students who have siblings already enrolled at SJVA; however, we do not hold spots for siblings.
Each public random drawing shall be conducted in stages of accordance with the following preferences in the priority order listed below. The higher the priority, the better chance your child will have of being offered a spot for enrollment. The Lottery Priorities are as follows:
Priority 1: Children of SJVA Full-Time Employees and/or current Board Members.
Priority 2: Siblings of students who currently attend the academy to which the applicant is applying.
- “Children who share at least have one common biological or legal parent whether through natural or adoptive means.”
- This definition includes:
- Biological siblings that share parents.
- “Half” siblings that share a single parent.
- “Step” siblings that share a parent or parents through marriage.
- And children who share a parent or parents through adoption or guardianship.
- Children who live in the same household but do not share a biological or legal parent are not considered siblings.
Priority 3: All other applicants
Participation in each priority is voluntary.
How to Apply
Directions:
- Please read the applications carefully and fill out all applicable fields.
- Attach required documents. Pictures of documents will not be accepted.
- Once all fields have been filled out, a "Submit" button will show on the bottom.
- Press submit and enter a valid email.
- Follow the directions given on the next screen: go to your email, look for an email from "Adobe Sign", and click on "Confirm my email address"
- The completed form will be emailed to you for your records.
- If needed, SJVA office staff will reach out to you for additional documentation.
We strongly recommend using the online to apply for enrollment. However, if a paper application is needed, please download and print from the PDFs available below.
TK AND KINDERGARTEN
Age Requirements:
- Students entering Transitional Kindergarten must turn 5 years old between September 2nd, 2019 and June 2nd, 2020.
- Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2019.
