Jeremy Boersma

Mr. Boersma is a full-time Elementary Music and orchestral strings teacher at San Jacinto Valley academy. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor's degree in music theory and composition, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue commercial music and teach private cello lessons. In 2014 he received his MM in cello performance from the University of Redlands and in 2017 completed his MA in Teaching at the Longy School of Music in Los Angeles. He has performed in numerous ensembles including the L.A. Traction Avenue Chamber Ensemble, Redlands University Orchestra, Redlands Symphony Orchestra and Redlands Community Orchestra. In June of 2017 he received his Master of Arts in Teaching from the Longy School of Music, becoming a credentialed music teacher. Mr. Boersma has found his true joy and passion in the elementary classroom, bringing his love of music to engage all students in a safe, fun and inclusive environment.
