My Philosophy: Welcome to Literacy! My name is Mrs. Manuel and I am looking forward to an exciting educational journey with each of you this school year. We will be involved in many different areas of rigorous learning as we embark on the new StudySync Common Core Curriculum. I believe that ALL teachers should:

• Select Literacy tasks to engage students’ interests and intellect.
• Provide opportunities to deepen students’ understanding of literacy and applications.
• Help students use technology and other tools to pursue literacy investigations.
• Help students seek connections to previous and developing knowledge.
• Guide individual, small-group, and whole-class instruction.

and... I believe all students can be and are life long learners.
